Meet the 2025 Merry Little Christmas Families

The Harlan Family

The Harlan family has struggled for the last few years, losing their home and moving into a motel as a family for four, with a 15-year-old and a 11-year-old. They are down to one car and are struggling to make ends meet, picking up extra work anywhere they can find it. The nominator told us “their kids are the most polite and nice kids. The family is a very respectable and I know a lot of other people would agree with me that they are a deserving families who need a little helping hand, like we all need sometimes.”

The Blackburn Family

The Blackburn family consists of five children ranging from 2 to 14 years old and single mom, Shelby. Last year Shelby was in two car accidents that caused a major changes and disruption in their lives. She works full time and still seems to maintain her home life with no transportation. This family deserves a miracle-they keep going each and every day, without complaint. The nominator told us, “I have never met another human so deserving of such a blessing. She is always volunteering at her church and staying as busy as she can to make sure her kids get the things in life they deserve. She is facing eviction and this would be the blessing she needs to remind her of what a great mother and person she has been.”

The Kilpatrick Family

Meet the Kilpatrick family: Kelli, Josh, 5-year old Porter and 2-year old Charlotte (lovingly know as Charlee). When Charlee was born, it didn’t take long for her parents to realize that something was affecting her medically. Tests revealed that she, a rare brain congenital condition that affects her development. Doctors told them she may never walk, talk or even basic life skills. Kelli left her job to care for Charlee and keep up with her many appointments and therapies. While this will make money VERY tight, they do not know what the future holds for Charlee. They would rather live with less and trust in God’s provision than have regrets. Despite doctor’s predictions Charlee has continued to thrive, loves being with people, and has met many milestones. She recently began to take her first steps in therapy. Anyone who knows Charlee just gravitates to her and just soaks up her love and snuggles. The Kilpatrick family would be immensely blessed by a “Merry Little Christmas” this year.

The Bramlet Family

The Bramlets are a large, multi-generational family who prioritize caring for each other. They have two grandchildren, ages 2 and 4, along with their 24-year-old daughter and 22-year-old son who has autism. Their 24-year-old daughter was born with a heart condition and needed open heart surgery at the age of three months, she has also been diagnosed with cerebral palsy , a chromosome disorder and hearing loss. Since 2000, the hospital has been a second home to the Bramlet family. Between medical bills and basic needs, they have little left to give their grandchildren a Merry Christmas this season. Help the Bramlets by fulfilling their wish list!

The Abbott Family

A week and an half after the birth of her third child via c-section, Jill became a single mom. The Abbott family’s oldest child, 4-year-old Thomas, is a Type 1 Diabetic. The nominator told us that Jill “has had to care for the kids, dealing with blood sugar coverage that wakes her at night and newborn who also keeps her from a good sleep, while also recovering from her c-section surgery.” Jill has done everything she can to get her kids on programs so they receive healthcare and food in a very short time. The Abbott family also lost their two senior dogs earlier this year and the boys are mourning their loss and miss them daily. The nominator also said, “she is a good woman, a fantastic mom, and a person that deserves a little GOOD in her life in a time of darkness for her. She is doing all she can to provide for her kids right now, to give them a Christmas they deserve that right now looks so dreary. She just really wants her children to have a good Christmas which without assistance they will not have much, but with her belief in God and Jesus, the kids will learn what true meaning of Christmas is that it’s not about the gifts, but about love and faith. An amazing woman holding it together to keep her family happy and safe.

The Delcid Family

Faith is a hardworking, single mother striving to take care of her four children. She works multiple jobs to help provide for her family, two of whom have autism and other disabilities. It becomes quite costly to provide the care they need so between higher housing, food and other costs, it is difficult to provide the children with the gifts they deserve. Our nominator told us “I have tried to help her family in the past when I can, but times are hard on most of us these days. Faith is a great mother and goes above and beyond to anything necessary to provide for her children. They all deserve a very merry Christmas, even if it might be the only one they ever experienced.”

The Gayle Family

The Gayle family is small, with one daughter whose 14th birthday is the 21st. her mother tells us “with her birthday being so close to Christmas one always gets lost in the mix of things and as a single mother, I struggle just to make ends meet. We rarely have enough food for the week much less money to buy presents…I don’t know how to tell her she shouldn’t get excited for her birthday or Christmas.” Help us make this a birthday and Christmas to remember for the Gayle family.

The Marowski Family

The Marowskis were nominated by their adult daughter who told us “my dad works so hard, day and night. and my mom has medical problems. They have always been there for everyone, from taking in family members to taking care of my grandparents. Now they took in my cousins, so they wouldn’t have to go into foster care. They have 3 girls they are now raising, they are both in their 60s , even though it gets busy at times they are always there for us when we need them and the girls always have what they need! I know they are struggling right now and could definitely use some help with Christmas coming for the girls. Please pick my parents, they really deserve some help and would greatly appreciate it!”

The Brown Family

The three Brown children, ages 14, 10 and 8, were adopted by their grandmother after they escaped a domestic violence situation with their mother, who tells us that she “fell into addiction and allowed my mother to adopt my children.” As a single grandmother on disability, who recently wrecked her car, she still goes above and beyond for the children. The mother of the children, who nominated them said “If anyone deserves help this Christmas, it is this precious family. Please, help my mother. She does not even have a Christmas tree… I know she will do whatever it takes to make sure they have a great Christmas, but I want to see that my mother does as well, as she is a wonderful grandmother/mother to my Children. All of my kids have mental health issues and suffer from PTSD from the abuse and my son is autistic. He is obsessed with seals, it is the sweetest thing. And my girls are total divas, loving all things girl. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you have a very happy holiday season!!”
