ATLANTA, GA — The bird flu outbreak continues increasing the price of eggs, with the Norcross-based restaurant chain Waffle House being the latest business impacted.
Waffle House is implementing a 50 cent surcharge due to rising egg prices.
The popular chain, known for its 24-hour breakfast menu, says the surcharge is in place temporarily until prices decline.
Several Waffle House locations and other businesses have posted signs on doors and menus to inform customers of additional charges.
Nationwide, the price of eggs have risen more than 50 percent during the past year.
